Most of us are familiar with popular agi narrative and how those would look like ....like example an human like voice ai ai (samantha from her).

It is never AGI,rather its superintelligence right from the moments its runtime starts.

What all could tau be ? Still wondering about the potential forms it could take.

From my limited perspective (correct me if I'm wrong), I believe the widespread adoption of language models like GPT-4 (ChatGPT) has distorted the meaning of the term Artificial Intelligence. Nowadays, all LLMs are considered AI, and manufacturers market TVs, refrigerators, or even vacuum cleaners as having AI, when in reality, they refer to a simple app or a rudimentary algorithm. AI has replaced "virtual reality" as the marketing buzzword or as a way to attract investors.

Regarding the AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) vs. ASI (Artificial Superintelligence) debate... If I remember correctly AGI implies a set of abilities similar to or slightly superior to those of a human being. In contrast, ASI would be an infinitely more intelligent entity, which we might even consider a kind of digital "living being."

I am unsure at what intermediate point we could place Tau, but from the little I have learned about this project I would say we are treading closer to the realms of AGI. It might not satisfy the sci-fi hunger we carry within, but if Tau works as expected, it will be a significant step forward.

Sure! I was just talking about an example there.

You dont need an emotional ai,its probably not possible too but an ai that can understand (causally) emotions is way more powerful and realistically possible.Tau logic can pretty much capture that through KR.

Artificial Intelligences that exist today are not intelligent,maybe we see as intelligent because it can do better than a rock,maybe.

Wait for Tau to cease what it really intelligence means that todays "AI" would just be vaccum tubes of ai world.

Hoping to hear more ideas on how I can imagine me interacting with Tau Net (in reality,so i can understand the workings).Since it skips the neurobiological methods of intelligence.

You're spot on—most AI today, like ChatGPT, isn't truly intelligent. It's just pattern-matching. Tau, on the other hand, is built on logical reasoning, which means it can guarantee correct outcomes, adapt to user input, and solve problems machine learning can't.
